Position description:

Reading Partners is in need of volunteers to help us finish the school year strong for a few students at Olympic Hills Elementary.

 

By volunteering for as little as one hour each week until June 2, you can make a significant and lasting impact on the lives of young elementary school children in under-resourced communities. Reading Partners Volunteer Tutors work one-on-one with kindergarten through fourth grade students whose literacy skills are one month to two and a half years below grade level benchmarks. By following a researched based-curriculum during each tutoring session, Reading Partners Volunteers are able to help students increase their rate of learning.

 

Time commitment:

As little as 1 hour each week

 

Skill requirements:

Must be 14 years of age, able to arrive on time, able to pass a background check and interested in helping K-4th grade students learn. No previous education experience is required, we provide comprehensive training for new volunteers.
