Position description:

Horn of Africa Services is seeking volunteers to tutor and mentor students in our After School Program!

 

As a volunteer, you will be matched with a student or small group of students to facilitate homework comprehension and completion, develop effective study skills, and connect on a person-to-person level. Our students are East African immigrants and refugees in grades K-12.

 

Time commitment:

2 hours/week

 

Skill requirements:

English-language proficiency

Interest in serving the community

Must pass a background check

 

Start date:

Any time

 

End date:

June 23, 2016 – option to continue in next school year
