Position description:

Nonprofit Leader.Org (NLO) is a co-working space, incubator and accelerator for Seattle nonprofit startups. We exist to create community, capacity and synergy among nonprofit leaders, social entrepreneurs and their organizations. We are expanding, and are looking for someone to make a difference across multiple organizations simultaneously. Nonprofit Leaders’ Organization is now accepting applications for the position of Social Media Volunteer.  This is a part-time volunteer position.

 

The Social Media Volunteer is responsible for the overall social media campaigns of multiple organizations, with responsibilities to include:

 

  • Manage up to five non-profit social media accounts to ensure that all new updates within the organizations are posted two times a week with one blog post a month
  • Scheduling monthly events and raising awareness of multiple organizations
  • Seeking out new opportunities for partnerships with local organizations
  • Recruiting new, fresh, enthusiastic volunteers just like you!

 

VOLUNTEER OBJECTIVES

Time commitment:

Shifts of either 10-2 or 2-6 with postings twice a week

 

Skill requirements:

The ideal candidate will have desire, experience, and success in the following areas:

 

  • Ability to promote a community organization by working with the public, other organizations, media, governmental agencies, educators and volunteers
  • Highly organized
  • Leadership potential
  • Great interpersonal skills and flexibility to work with many organizations
  • Honest, trustworthy and reliable
  • Creativity and ability to learn on the job
  • Integrity: People can rely on you to do what you are going to do by when you say you are going to do it, and you do not just what you say you would do, but what is expected of you.
