Position Title: Communications Intern

Position Description:

ROOTS is a homeless shelter for young adults located in the University District where we provide 45 beds, showers, laundry, and a hot meal to our guests every night. ROOTS is currently in the process of building a communications committee, with the goal of creating and implementing an advertising plan. With this we hope to increasing awareness, donors, and our volunteer base. The communications intern would assist with everything from developing a strategic social media campaign, updating our promotional materials (brochures, flyers, etc.), helping plan metro & radio advertising materials, and assisting with designing and implementing a Street Team to build partnerships with other businesses in the U- District. This position would be a great resume builder for any communication or marketing undergrad.
