Position description:

The Washington Coalition to Amend the Constitution initiative campaign is seeking two strong, hard-working and motivated candidates to join our team as a full- or part-time Organizing Intern.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

•Work with the State Field and King County Organizers to organize activists at the local, regional, or state level

•Outreach targeted constituencies to get people involved with the campaign

•Recruit activists by organizing and participating in campaign actions and organizing events

•Respond to requests for information and management of campaign materials;

•Design and layout organizing materials for different constituencies

•Provide administrative support to State Field Organizers on campaign projects;

•Participate in organizational building activities.

 

Time commitment:

15-30 Monday through Friday between the hours of 10am and 5pm. Some night and weekend work may be required.

 

Skill requirements:

•Currently a student or recent college graduate

•Demonstrated commitment to getting big money out of elections and progressive social change

•Fluency in basic aspects of policy and understanding of the legislative process

•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

•Excellent verbal communications and writing skills

•Organizational skills and the ability to juggle several tasks while meeting deadlines

•Experience in a high-energy campaign preferable.
