WORLD LANGUAGE TESTING UPDATE

ARABIC, FRENCH, GERMAN, ITALIAN,SPANISH,and SLAVIC Languages ONLY
  • As of September, the following exams are available for remote online testing for:
    • ARABIC 100-Level Placement Exam
    • ARABIC 200-Level Placement Exam
    • FRENCH, GERMAN, ITALIAN & SPANISH Placement Exams

  • As of June 2020, U.W. Testing Center is offering remote proficiency testing for:
    • ROMANIAN
    • RUSSIAN
    • UKRAINIAN

Please contact the Slavic Department to request approval and contact us for scheduling and registering for a Slavic Language placement testing.

All “Remote Only” exams are take at test-takers private location, not on campus as of 3/12/20

Additional Information:

The Korean Proficiency Exam is only for students NOT wanting to take Korean language courses. Students should only take the proficiency exam if they are looking to fulfill their foreign language requirements. The is no credit assigned for the proficiency exam. Disability Accommodation

To request disability accommodation for testing, please contact the U.W. Testing Center at least (1-2) week prior to desired test date via phone call (206)543-1171 or email at testingcenter@uw.edu before registering for the test.  Please include documentation from Disability Resources for Students or a from a medical provider stating the accommodation needs.  Do not send a diagnosis.  If you are a U.W. student, please register with the Disability Resources for Students department if needed.
