Proctored Exams

COVID-19 NOTE

The U.W. Academic Testing Center is currently closed. We will update our pages when we have a return date, pending UW and public health approval. Please contact testingcenter@uw.edu for any questions.

U.W. Testing Center can administer and proctor computer-based, listening, and standard paper-based exams as a courtesy for other educational institutions and organizations as the schedule permits.  Exams will be administered based on the exam source’s instructions and specifications.

FEE:
  • National Academic Courtesy Exams: $50 for the first exam, $25 for additional exams taken concurrently in the same 3hr scheduled session.
  • International Academic Courtesy Exams: $75 for the first exam, *$25 for additional exams taken concurrently in the same 3hr scheduled session. *The $25 for additional exams does not pertain to University of London students, each exam will be $75.
  • Non-Academic Courtesy Exams (professional certification, human resources, etc.): $100 for the first exam, $25 for additional exams taken concurrently in the same 3hr scheduled session.

Shipping Charges: shipping charges not paid by the originating institution or organization will be the responsibility of the examinee. Please contact us for estimate of shipping fees.
Invoiced Fees: Fees that are billed to the institution or organization (not paid directly to the Testing Center by the examinee) will also be subject to an 18% University of Washington overhead charge.

Fees are payable by cash or check, made payable to: University of Washington.

Credit and Debit cards are NOT accepted.

REGISTRATION: It is the responsibility of the examinee to notify their school or organization to send the test materials to the Testing Center office. As a general rule, the exam will not be scheduled until the test materials have arrived.

ON THE DAY OF THE TEST: The examinee must bring picture identification, payment, and any materials required by the exam source.

Disability Accommodation

To request disability accommodation for testing, please contact the U.W. Testing Center at least (1-2) week prior to desired test date via phone call (206)543-1171 or email at testingcenter@uw.edu before registering for the test.  Please include documentation from Disability Resources for Students or a from a medical provider stating the accommodation needs.  Do not send a diagnosis.  If you are a U.W. student, please register with the Disability Resources for Students department if needed.
