Anthropology Student Wins Research Award

Paulina PrzystupaPaulina Przystupa, student in Anthropology & History, is a 2012 Library Research Awards for Undergraduates winner. Her paper, "Unveiling the Ancient in the Modern: A historical examination of gender, nationalism, and Pharaonism in selected works by Mahmoud Mohktar, in the 1920s, and Muhammad Nagi, in 1922 and 1937" was among the entries in this competition supported by the Friends of the Libraries and the Kenneth S. and Faye G. Allen Library endowment.

The award recognizes research demonstrating unusual depth or broadness in the use of library resources. It also recognizes students who show an extraordinary ability to identify, locate, select, evaluate, and synthesize library resources, as well as a demonstration of significant personal knowledge in the methods of research and inquiry.
