Purple and Gold Makes Green

The UW has been named one of the six greenest schools in the nation, according to the Sustainable Endowments Institute. Along with Harvard University, Dartmouth College, Carleton College, Middlebury College and the University of Vermont, the UW earned an A- on the institute's "College Sustainability Report Card," which ranks the 200 schools in the U.S. and Canada with the largest endowments. Colleges and universities were graded on a variety of factors, including the administration's commitment to sustainability, the school's energy-related policies and its investment priorities.
