Come Together Washington

Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates is the keynote speaker for a historic celebration of the University of Washington and the contributions it has made to the region and the world, "Come Together Washington," held Thursday, Oct. 15 in Hec Edmundson Pavilion. All alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents and members of the community are invited. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. with a faculty and student research showcase. At 6 p.m. the program begins with President Mark Emmert's first community address, live video feeds from UW faculty and students around the world, and Gates' address. The UW will also make a public announcement regarding its $2 billion Campaign UW: Creating Futures.
