Graduating Seniors Invited to Keep the Connection

To help graduating seniors "Keep the Connection," the UW Alumni Association is offering a year's free membership. To take advantage of the offer, seniors must complete a membership application and provide a forwarding address before Sept. 30.

Graduating seniors will find a special cover wrap around this issue of Columns with a membership form.

Graduates will find a growing list of attractive membership benefits. These include borrowing privileges at all campus libraries, a discount at the University Book Store (through its rebate program), use of some of the University's recreational facilities, and career networking. In addition, members keep up with the University through UWAA events and communications.

New benefits are being added all the time. For example, members who own businesses can now get a 5 percent discount on long-distance telephone service through LDDS/Metromedia. A discount for residential service is also available. For more information about this benefit, call LDDS at 1-800-SERVICE.

A new membership directory will also be available soon for members to purchase.

The UWAA is also able to arrange special merchandise offers for its members. One offer soon to be announced is a beautifully illustrated architectural history of the University.

There is also is a special premium for members interested in making a long-term commitment to the UWAA. The video Washington Through the Years will be given away to all who sign up for a life membership.

Members can apply for a UWAA/Seafirst VISA or MasterCard with no annual fee and a low introductory interest rate.
