For the 12th consecutive year, the U.S. News & World Report annual graduate and professional school rankings list the UW School of Medicine as No. 1 for primary-care training. America’s Best Graduate Schools 2006 Edition, a book published by U.S. News & World Report, released its report of newly ranked graduate and professional programs in April. The UW School of Medicine was the only medical school in the country to rank in the top 10 in all specialties that were listed. Other graduate programs also moved up: the College of Education rose from 31st to 17th, the Business School rose from 27th to 18th and the College of Engineering rose from 25th to 24th. Other excellent UW programs may be missing from the 2005 list because the magazine does not rank every graduate program every year.
