Assessing Your Career Fit (Q1130)

This course is a cost-effective option for UW employees who are in transition or interested in moving forward with their career development. Each participant takes the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the Strong Interest Inventory assessments prior to the start of the course and receives a personalized combined career report along with an interpretation of the results. In-class exercises and discussion provide an opportunity to explore work tasks and environments that might be a good fit, ways to make a job more interesting, methods to create more work/life balance, and appropriate further education and training. Participants come away with excellent tools and strategies to identify next steps, make decisions, and stay motivated in pursuing their career goals.

NOTE: About one week prior to class, you will receive an email containing instructions for completing the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the Strong Interest Inventory assessments. Each assessment takes about 20 minutes to complete.
