STANLEY & BERTHE HABIB SCHOLARSHIP

The Stanley and Berthe Habib Scholarship was established to support current Women’s Center Making Connections students entering the University of Washington to pursue a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) Fields. Two Making Connections students are awarded the Habib Scholarship annually.

Amount: $1,000 per year, renewable up-to 4 years.

NADIA PAYET SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship supports two Making Connections graduates who are intending to pursue a degree in Computer Science. Students intending to pursue other STEM majors may also be considered.

Amount: $2,500

MAKING CONNECTIONS NATIONAL CONFERENCE FOR COLLEGE WOMEN STUDENT LEADERS (NCCWSL) SCHOLARSHIP

Making Connections teamed with the American Association of University Women (AAUW) Seattle to sponsor two Making Connections Alumnae to attend the conference in College Park, Maryland.  Scholarship includes conference registration, accommodations, and airfare.

Amount: $1,200

Application Deadline: Closed — 2019-2020 Scholarship will open November/December 2019.

MEENA VASHEE SCHOLARSHIP

The Meena Vashee scholarship supports University of Washington undergraduate students who are survivors of domestic violence or are the children of a domestic violence survivor(s).

Amount: $2,000

JUDITH M RUNSTAD- Wells Fargo Washington Women’s Roundtable Scholarship

The Judith M. Runstad – Wells Fargo Washington Women’s Roundtable Scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to students in the fields of technology, innovation, business, engineering, health or real estate with a preference for students with demonstrated interest and an active role in advancing the careers and professional interests of women.

Eligibility

Recipients shall be graduate students or students enrolled in continuing education programs such as, but are not limited to:

  • University of Washington – Seattle’s Runstad Department of Real Estate Studies
  • University of Washington – Seattle’s Foster School of Business
  • University of Washington – Tacoma’s Milgard School of Business
  • University of Washington – Tacoma’s Professional Development Center
  • University of Washington – Bothell’s School of Business
  • And or other UW graduate school and continuing education programs in the fields of Technology, Innovation, Business, Engineering, Health and Real Estate at any campus.

Amount: $4,000-$6,500

REQUIRED ATTACHMENTS

Please be sure to have all required attachments ready when you start the application; you will not be able to save the application and continue later.

  1. Resume (including community and/or industry involvement, as applicable);
  2. 2 Letters of Recommendation (at least one professional — option to have reference email wcvpp@uw.edu directly):
  3. Essay (1,000 word Maximum): Tell us why you selected the continuing education program and how this program and this scholarship will help you advance in your career within the next five years in one or more of the following fields: technology, innovation, business, engineering, health and/or real estate.
  4. Signed/scanned copy of the Judith M. Runstad – Wells Fargo Washington Women’s Roundtable Scholarship FERPA form
