Tao Yuan Ming and Manuscript Culture; Art of Being Tuareg; Manawa; and Mysterious Spirits, Strange Beasts, Earthly Delights were selected by Choice Magazine as Outstanding Academic Titles for 2006.

A publication of the Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL), a division of the American Library Association, Choice: Current Reviews for Academic Libraries is read by more than 35,000 academic librarians, faculty, and key decision makers who rely on Choice reviews for collection development and scholarly research.

Each January, Choice lists the Outstanding Academic Titles for the previous year. The selective list contains approximately ten percent of some 7,000 works reviewed in Choice.
