Learning Technologies Student Positions

In Learning Technologies, we help support a diverse array of instructional technologies that aim to improve and support teaching and learning campus wide. We have 50 or so student staff from a variety of majors who gain valuable knowledge and experience through their work with us.

Our staff enjoy flexible hours, positive and supportive team members, and tons of resume building experience. Our modern office is located in the heart of the UW Seattle campus, making it easy to get to class on time.

We strive to provide amazing customer service to faculty staff, and students. We are reliable, hard working, resourceful, and typically the go-to tech help people with our friends and family. If you are too, one of these may be the perfect for you! These are entry level positions — you don’t have to be a tech ninja, you just need to enjoy helping people and be excited to learn.

About Our Positions (in a nutshell)

  • Web Tools Consultant – Help faculty and TA’s with Canvas, Panopto, and other learning tools. Work in an office in Odegaard.
  • Computer Vet Consultant – Help people solve problems on their laptops and in Odegaard lab. Work at a walk-up desk in Odegaard.

All positions pay $15.45/hour and student staff work 12-19.5 hours per week.

Student staff work during our open hours:

During academic quarters:

  • Monday through Thursday 8am – 10pm
  • Friday 8am – 6pm
  • Sunday noon – 10pm

Summer and interim:

  • Monday through Friday 9am – 5pm
