Background and ContextThe Strategic Roadmap for Information Management and Administrative Systems sets forth a long-term, comprehensive plan for the future of UW information management and administrative systems. Finalized in 2008, the Roadmap recommends five key initiatives to meet the UW's business and information needs into the future. (For more information, see the Roadmap Web site). Over the past two years, several major Roadmap projects have been launched including the Financial Systems Needs Assessment, Kuali Student, the System to Administer Grants Electronically (SAGE), the Research Roadmap, and discussions about options for HR/Payroll. As these efforts have moved forward, it has become clear that there is a need for a group of key stakeholders to oversee the Roadmap initiatives and ensure these are being viewed and planned for holistically.
