Student Program
Led by Darcy Van Patten, the Student program was established to oversee the UW's involvement in the Kuali
Student Community Development Project, the current Student Information Systems portfolio managed by Information
Management, and an eventual Student Information System (SIS) replacement project. The Student Program consolidates
management and governance for student information systems efforts within Information Management.
Governed by academic administrative leaders from the UW's
three campuses, the Student Program has the following program goals:
- Engage the UW community in visioning a technology enabled future, where our systems are flexible enough to adjust to emerging opportunities
- Represent the UW’s interests and requirements in our involvement in the Kuali Student project
- Improve our readiness for taking on an eventual SIS replacement project
- Make thoughtful trade-offs between immediate and long-term needs, and align production activities to the long-term vision
- Support UW faculty, staff, and students in transitioning to working with new technologies and systems
