Enterprise Information Services

Led by Bill Yock, Enterprise Information Services focuses on providing consistent and reliable architectures, guidelines, standards, tools, and services for data analysis, design, modeling, management, delivery, and integration of institutional data. This unit is also responsible for information/data support for all IM projects and assisting with the data integration and analysis that turn data into information.

This unit also is responsible for:

• Providing development and support for the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) – a central repository of UW administrative information
• Providing Enterprise Business Intelligence and analytical tools via the Decision Support Web site – a single point of access to information for users and developers of EDW data and tools
• Facilitating data management activities of the Data Management Committee – a committee responsible for governance of Institutional Data
• Working with other UW Data Trustees and Custodians in designing, developing, and supporting consistent and integrated information repositories
• Working with other UW IT units and campus organizations in establishing and performing information assurance and security practices
