Enterprise Document Management

Supports the University’s modernization goals by allowing departments to create and manage electronic documents, automate business processes, comply with records retention policies and acquire electronic signatures.

This unit is responsible for:

  • Document Management: secure, online software enables UW departments to digitize, store, and rapidly search for electronic content. Built-in UW Records Management capabilities enable departments to more easily search, identify, and hold records responsive to public records requests, litigation, and audit.
  • Electronic Signatures: UW DocuSign gives departments the ability to distribute online documents for approval and electronic signatures, or to create online forms for data collection.
  • Workflow Management: Online forms make it easy for departments to create and customize automated business workflows. Additional APIs allow departments to integrate these workflows with local applications.
  • User Notifications: APIs allow for custom alerts to be sent to users via SMS text message, text-to-voice and email when specified events occur.
