Accessible Technology

This unit is responsible for:

Helping the University ensure that technology-based teaching, learning, and research tools and resources are accessible to and usable by all students, staff, faculty and clinicians, including those with a wide range of abilities and disabilities. This unit collaborates with other University units to ensure the availability of assistive technology, and consult on the development of accessible Web sites, other software, and learning spaces. Additionally, this unit conducts regional, national and international projects to promote the use of accessible technology and practices in teaching, learning and research.

  • Helping the University provide world-class accessibility to students, staff, faculty and clinicians who need assistive technology in their university life
  • Collaborating with other university units to assure the availability of assistive technology, and consulting on the development of accessible Web sites and other software
  • Conducting regional, national and international projects to promote the use of accessible technology in increasing the success of individuals with disabilities in college and careers, with funding from a variety of sources
