Orientation Schedule

All Orientations are held in Mary Gates Hall 120. Please arrive on time as late attendees will be asked to attend another orientation.

All Pipeline tutors must attend a Pipeline orientation prior to tutoring. Orientations are 1.5 hours long and are held at least twice a week throughout the academic year (see below for schedule). During the orientation, you will find out everything you need to know to begin tutoring. Topics covered include role of tutors, tutoring tips and strategies, learning styles, cultural competency, safety and liability issues and an introduction to the Seattle Public Schools. Tutors will select a tutoring site during this orientation.

**NEW! Limited transportation will be provided to certain schools. More information will be provided during the Pipeline orientation.

Please bring a photo ID (driver's license or Husky Card) to the orientation as a Washington State Patrol Background Check will be completed for all prospective tutors.
