Klondike Gold Rush: The Perilous Journey North
University of Washington Special Collections Division

More than 100,000 gold seekers set off for the Klondike in 1897 and 1898. The trip was a long and difficult one: only about forty percent of those people who began the journey persevered and actually reached the goldfields. "The Klondike Gold Rush: The Perilous Journey North" exhibit highlights their journey north.
