Document 46: Letter from Lynn Smith, Rampart, December 17, 1903.


Had a crowd of Tanana Indians in for two days. Paid $150 for a Black Fox....Got 8 bear about 50 marten...and red fox....half starved and almost naked all sore eyed and jerking with disease. Leprosy or something of that order.
