UWFA programs

A variety of activities take place throughout the year, beginning with an afternoon fall reception in early October. At this event, members renew acquaintances, welcome new arrivals to the university and review the opportunities for participating in interest groups.

Lectures are held several times a year and feature speakers on a variety of topics.  Members receive email notifications with details about upcoming events, which are also published in the newsletter.

In November a dinner/lecture includes the awarding of scholarships and in December the UWFA members enjoy a festive holiday tea at the UW President’s residence. The final program of the year is the spring luncheon held in May.  Following a lovely lunch, the Faculty Auxiliary Board for the upcoming year is introduced and a speaker provides entertainment.

Many Faculty Auxiliary members participate in an interest group that meets regularly.
