Say HELLO to our newest employee: Barry Morgan

After an exhaustive nationwide search for the best-qualified candidate, we are happy to announce that we found “our guy” literally in our own backyard.  Formerly, the Emergency Manager for Central Washington University, Mr. Barry W. Morgan recently accepted the position of Plans, Training and Exercise Manager.  Barry started with UWEM on April 3rd and already has jumped into his critical role.  He will be spearheading a number of ongoing and new projects, including the annual update of the UW’s disaster plan, refreshing our 5-year strategic plan, working with our UW and regional partners in establishing a new campus training system for crisis planning and response, and planning a whole bunch of drills and exercises — for employees all the way up to the President’s Cabinet.  Please join us in welcoming Barry to the UW.  If you want to really know more about Barry’s impressive background and work history, check out his online biography.
