Software Overview
NetWare enables management and control of an entire heterogeneous networking environment including multiple protocols (IP and IPX), applications (Java, Web-based and server), operating sytems (including NT Server), and desktops. See the vendor's Web site for additional information.Versions

License Details
- The University of Washington has a Master License Agreement for Education (MLAE) with Novell, Inc. The MLAE Terms and Conditions grant the University the right to license and distribute the NetWare software to UW students, faculty, and staff.
- If you participated in the Upgrade Protection Program last year, purchased or traded-in a NetWare license and ordered Upgrade Protection, you are eligible to upgrade to NetWare 5, NetWare 4.2 or NetWare 3.2 at no charge. Contact dlange@u.washington.edu to make arrangements.
- Cost of a new or trade-in NetWare License
- Legally acquired copies of NetWare may be converted to this program with proof of purchase. The version traded-in should support at least the number of users as the new version.
- If you choose not to enroll in the Annual Upgrade Protection Program during the 1999 enrollment period and wish to update later, you may purchase a trade-in to the current version and the optional Upgrade Protection at that time.
- This is a per copy license and may not be transferred or sold.
