License Details
Currently registered UW students, faculty or staff are eligible to be members of the CSLG Program. The software licenses must be used for instructional and research purposes on University-owned equipment. Use of the software licenses must be discontinued if the campus-wide agreement is no longer in effect or if the person is no longer affiliated with the University.- The cost is $245.00 a year per system (System definition) to register your RISC, Alpha/AXP, VAX, or PCs. The annual membership fee is for the license term of July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009. The fee cannot be pro-rated.
- CLSG Program participation expires every year. In June, renewal forms are mailed to all program participants. The new license PAKs that keep the software functioning are distributed by UWare Licensing based on the return of these agreement forms and payment of a renewal fee.
- A system must have a valid HP operating system license appropriate for the system configuration. Systems using SUN, MS-DOS, MACINTOSH, or OS/2 layered products must have a valid operating system license appropriate for the system configuration. The CSLG product portfolios do not include any initial operating system licenses. Excluded are: any Traditional License, any initial Operating System User License, any Operating System Base License, or any SMP Extension License to the Operating System Base License.
- No Alpha clones may participate in the CSLG program.
- Only those systems that are under an AT&T Software Agreement will be allowed to use the CSLG Ultrix and DECshell Licenses.
- UWare Licensing administers this site license.
