Alpine - Program for Internet News and Email
Pine and Pico (Alpine's message composition editor) were designed at the University of Washington. The Alpine Information Center Web pages provide documentation.This directory contains a self-installing version of Alpine customized for the University of Washington networking environment.
To install Alpine:
- Download the installer.
- Run the file by double-clicking it.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
This version of Alpine is configured specifically to work in the UW computing environment and is available to UW students, faculty and staff. It is offered on the UW Internet Connectivity Kit, or from here:
