Autodesk Comprehensive Educational System (ACES) is a package of Autodesk's most popular software.Version - ACES 2005 includes
- Architectural Desktop - 3D model drafting with intelligent architectural objects
- AutoCAD - a Computer Aided Drafting program
- AutoCAD Electrical - automates all electrical control design tasks

presentation tool for architects and other building

- Civil Design - provides point management, terrain modeling and contouring, and alignments and parcels
- DWF Composer - facilitates team communication and
increases productivity with tools built specifically
for reviewing , marking up, and measuring designs without the original design creations software - Land Desktop - cusomtizable Land Development and Planning Tools for drafting, mapping, and analysis

License Details
Currently registered UW students, faculty, and staff are eligible to use the software on UW-owned computers at the Seattle,
Bothell, and Tacoma campuses, and at Harborview.- UW students, faculty, and staff on UW-owned computers
- The Autodesk Comprehensive Educational System (ACES)
license costs $27,500 per year for unlimited seats.
The cost is shared on a per-seat basis by all that install the software. Currently the per seat cost is $150 and is expected
to drop as more people and departments participate. - The software can be used for education, business, and research that does not generate a profit
- The Capital Projects Office administers this license
- Students can get a discounted copy of the software under this license by contacting Autodesk directly

Documentation
Documentation is provided in extensive help files within the software. Many third party authored books are available at bookstores. Hard copy manuals are available for purchase thorugh the University's Autodesk Educational Representative, Debbie Norris-Randle, 1-800-458-0690 x264.Technical Support
