- Involve users throughout the product lifecycle
- Understand users, their needs, and their capabilities
- Design usable products that complement the users' work process and environment

The OIM User-Centered Design (UCD) group provides free services to
staff to help them create usable products.
Services we offer:
- Join a team at the start and help throughout a project
- Use selected UCD methods to provide user information and evaluate products
- Coach staff who wish to do their own UCD work
- Give presentations about UCD and usability testing
- Provide a tour of the usability lab in Mary Gates Hall
- Assist with user interface or information design
