Title - Voices of Learners at the University of Washington

Change. Innovation. Entrepreneurship. Adaptation. Discovery. These words characterize the kinds of challenges students face in higher education today.

These pages show the stories of University of Washington students engaged in the pursuit of learning. Their goals are diverse, but they share a common thread - each is involved in research, experiential learning or service to the greater community as a part of his or her education. Today's students will live and work in a world in which the creation and revision of knowledge continues to accelerate. The body of knowledge that students master in college or graduate school, however important as a launching point, will not see them through their lives. Therefore, they need above all to learn how to refresh and replenish that store of knowledge and make learning a way of life.
