Welcome to Transfer Thursdays! Please check the schedule below to find out what sessions and services will be offered on the day you plan to visit.

Some sessions you can count on being offered every week. These include a Transfer Admission session, drop-in advising at the Gateway Center, advising by appointment at the Office of Minority Affairs & Diversity1, information sessions on undergraduate and graduate programs in the UW Business School, and a walking tour of campus. Drop-in advising is also available from specific programs and colleges: Art, Biology, the College of Engineering, Environmental Studies, the College of Forest Resources, Physics, Political Science, Sociology, and Community, Environment and Planning.

Please note that sessions in red are offered only one Thursday this quarter. We strongly recommend attending the Admission for Transfer Students session listed in purple.

Once you've determined the best Thursday for you to attend, you may register online. Pre-registration is NOT required but is recommended.

If you have already applied and been accepted to the UW, please contact First Year Programs to sign up for Advising & Registration. Transfer Thursday is NOT intended for newly admitted students!

Undergraduate academic advising at the University of Washington is a core element of the University's focus on student learning.

As educators, advisers partner with faculty and the campus community to cultivate our students' intellectual development.

As guides and advocates, advisers collaborate with students to craft a transformative educational experience so that they may become informed, articulate and thoughtful students of the University and citizens of the world.

—Mission Statement for Academic Advising, adopted November 2007
