All students.

I am recommending this course because:
Patricia Novotny is a highly engaging instructor, and is very innovative with the material. I am recommending this course to:
juniors and seniors, any major.
I am recommending this course because:
It's a great way to earn 2 credits in a new, fun, interesting, and fulfilling way. You are a tutor/mentor to a university student and you attend a once a week seminar. Class helps you prepare to be a tutor and it is really fulfilling and fun to work with other students. It's also good if you want to go into education.

I am recommending this course to:
anyone who needs to fulfill a NW credit, but really a suggestion to pre-nursing students who need it as a pre-req...take it the quarters that Bilgen is teaching it!
I am recommending this course because:
Take this course if Tolga Bilgen is teaching it. He is an engaging professor who has a tremendous ability to simplify the most complex processes in biology. He is funny and commands the classroom remarkably.

I am recommending this course to:
students who enjoy singing.
I am recommending this course because:
After a long, stressful day, University Singers really makes the day worth it. Especially if you have a fun teacher like Julie Parsons (Spring '09 is her last quarter teaching this class). :( If you're advanced and you would get annoyed when other people are not at your level, I wouldn't recommend this class. It's for singers of all levels so some of us won't know how to read music and some of us can sing like Jennifer Hudson, but that's why it's so much fun!

Provides a basic understanding on human physiological responses during stress, normal baseline, and chemical additives. This course is not helpful in ENVH program since Ecology related courses or further Biology related courses are not a part of its electives or core requirements except LAB courses that only requires knowledge of microbiology and cellular biology.

Take the course during Winter Quarter, if it is being taught by Joel Migdal. He is one of the best teachers I have had. Also, the course will go over aspects of the past 100 years and give an overall world history of why the world has become the way it is. You will learn what reasons went into the creation of the UN, IMF, WTO. At the same time, you will choose a region and research it. You will learn how to make an educated assumption about a situation, then find if you are correct.
