Peg Cheng
Academic Counselor-Lead

Hi, my name is Peg Cheng. My philosophy is to treat each student as an individual. If you want to talk to a professional who will listen, be honest with you, will help you brainstorm solutions, and has a no-BS policy, come and see me.

I like working with students from all kinds of backgrounds but I have special skills with Pre-Law, the Arts and Environmentally-Related majors.

I grew up behind the Orange Curtain in Huntington Beach, California, amongst skaters, surfers and Reagan Youth. I earned a B.A. in Environmental Analysis and Design at the University of California, Irvine. Then I moved north and earned a Master of Public Administration at the Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington. I've had 32 other jobs including Communications Director, Career Coach and Public Toilet Researcher (I'm not kidding).

Favorites include creative writing, drawing, walking, pretty cards, Truman Capote, children's books, movies, musicals, Manhattan, birds, apes, wood cut prints, SPAM musubi, pumpkins, my husband and my friends.
