Leah L. Panganiban
Academic Counselor-Lead

I really enjoyed my undergraduate experience at Villanova University where I earned a BA in Sociology/Communications. After college, I served as an AmeriCorps volunteer at Hartnell College in Salinas, CA. Through this experience, I learned that I enjoyed working in the college setting. I went on to earn my M.A. in Education from Claremont Graduate University while working in several different offices at the Claremont Colleges.

While I liked the sunny weather of California, I had always wanted to live in Seattle. I worked at Pierce College Puyallup as the Running Start Coordinator for a few years before joining the Undergraduate Advising team here at the UW.

My favorite part of my job is meeting with students and helping them plan and work toward their goals.

Undergraduate academic advising at the University of Washington is a core element of the University's focus on student learning.

As educators, advisers partner with faculty and the campus community to cultivate our students' intellectual development.

As guides and advocates, advisers collaborate with students to craft a transformative educational experience so that they may become informed, articulate and thoughtful students of the University and citizens of the world.
