Now for the Good News--Software Updates
The College of Arts and Sciences and the Associate Vice
President for Computing & Communications have each
contributed to the acquisition of SPSS for Windows for the
entire campus. Users can obtain the software for a nominal
fee at the University Book Store. Bring your UW ID and a
picture ID to prove your eligibility.
The new version of SPSS for DOS will soon be available at
the University Book Store. Currently SPSS for Macintosh
computers is distributed at the ACC Building, but starting
July 1 it will be available at the Book Store.
The following lists new or updated software products and tells
you where to get them. If you need additional information, send

MultiNet Annual Subscription Program: includes MultiNet
TCP/IP, NFS Client, NFS Server, and Xview for VMS. Software is on
order at the time of publication. Send email to
cw-soft@cac.washington.edu and you will be notified when it
arrives. Software price $115.

Sun PC/NFS, version 5.0.

SunOS, versions 2.0 and 2.1 (Solaris).

FrameMaker, for Sun, version 3.1.2 is on order at the time
of publication.

Allegro Common Lisp, for NeXT, version 4.1 is on order at
the time of publication.

NFS Client, version 2.3. Software price $50 per copy. Copy
documentation at the Suzzallo Library Copy Center.

Mac X Update from 1.1.7 to 1.2. Available through UW Purchasing
for $27 per copy. Apple part #1197ll/B.

LAN WorkPlace for DOS, version 4.1. Copy the software and fill
out the agreement form at the ACC Building. Copy documentation

NCD X Terminal software, version 3.0. No registration is
necessary to obtain a copy of the software, available via
