Teaching and Learning Workshop
Friday, November 8th (2:30-4:00 p.m.) in OUGL 220
The Veterans Center and the Center for Teaching and Learning are pleased to offer: “Welcoming All Students: Teaching Student Veterans,” a teaching and learning workshop that offers teaching strategies to help student veterans – and all students – succeed.
Join UW instructors, staff, students, and the community for a discussion of ways that we can make the classroom experience more welcoming to student veterans. Consider challenges student veterans face in their learning at UW and identify strategies for helping support these nontraditional students. The workshop will include a panel of UW instructors, staff and students. Participants will engage in small and large group discussion.
Welcoming remarks: Bob Stacey, Dean, College of Arts and Sciences
This event is open to all UW faculty, staff, students, and the general community. Pre-workshop registration is required.
- Registration is now closed. However, seats are still available and any interested individuals are welcome to attend and to register on-site. Please go directly to Odegaard Undergraduate Library, Room. 220.
