Program Director handbook

The Program Director Handbook is a resource you can consult at any time during the program planning process, but it has been developed to assist when in-country. This guide covers topics ranging from pre-departure orientation to assisting students in distress. It is also a summary of important UW, international, and insurance contact information that you may need to access in while abroad.

This handbook provides information about international emergency procedures. However, you may also always call the UW International Emergency Assistance number at 001.206.632.0153.

If you are a program director working with UW Study Abroad, the most up-to-date version of this handbook will be accessible through your online program proposal portal. If you have any questions about accessing the handbook, email your program manager.
