This is a rare opportunity to meet with representatives from the Institute of International Education (IIE) Boren Scholarships and Fellowships staff and the Fulbright U.S. Student Program staff. They will be at the UW campus in Seattle to provide an overview of these scholarship opportunities for study, research and teaching English abroad, information about preparing competitive applications, and answer questions. Both undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to attend.

Fulbright Program for U.S. Students: UW Campus Deadline: September 23, 2008

The Fulbright is the largest U.S. international exchange program offering opportunities for U.S. students to undertake international graduate study, advanced research and teaching in elementary and secondary schools worldwide. The Fulbright was established in 1946 by the U.S. Congress to "enable the government of the United States to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries." The Fulbright Program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.
