2009 National Security and Education Program David L. Boren Undergraduate Scholars
Established in 1991, the NSEP David L. Boren Undergraduate Scholarship provides funding opportunities for U.S. students to study languages and world regions critical to U.S. interests (including Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America & the Caribbean, and the Middle East).
2009 UW NSEP Boren Undergraduate Scholars:
- Ryo Kato - Selected as a Boren Scholar. Senior, International Studies major, East Asian Languages & Literatures minor. Ryo will spend a year studying Korean in South Korea.
- Cameron Sparr - Selected as a Boren Alternate. Junior, Near Eastern Languages & Literature major, International Studies minor.
- Robin Kallsen - Selected as a Boren Alternate. Junior, International Studies major.
