Washington Pulp and Paper Foundation Scholarship

Description

The pulp and paper industry supports scholarship aid through the nonprofit Washington Pulp and Paper Foundation, Inc. The Foundation comprises over 80 pulp and paper firms, chemical suppliers, consulting firms, and individuals who contribute over $200,000 per year to scholarships.

Eligibility

  • Must be in or planning to be in the UW Paper Science and Engineering program
  • Be a Washington state community college transfer student who ranks in the top 25% of your high school class, or be otherwise recommended by your high school principal
  • Be a citizen or permanent resident of the US, or sponsored by a member of the Washington Pulp and Paper Foundation
  • Have at least a 3.0 college GPA
  • Have a minimum SAT verbal score of 500 and SAT math score of 550
Final selection of recipients is based on college records, extracurricular achievements, financial need and college entrance examination scores.
