Image de Seattle Scholarship

Description

Image de Seattle is a non-profit organization serving the interests of Hispanics in employment, education and civil rights. The goal of the scholarship awards program is to promote educational opportunities for the Hispanic youth of Washington State.

Eligibility

These awards are for Hispanic high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students. Applicants must have been a resident of the state of Washington continuously for the past twelve months. Materials must be received at the Image de Seattle no later than the deadline.

Procedure

Applications become available by the beginning of February. To request an application, send a self-addressed stamped envelope with your application request directly to Image de Seattle (address listed below). Each applicant must submit the following:
  • A completed Image de Seattle application form
  • One page statement stating your goals and plans for the future, chosen field of study, and a brief biography including your identification with the Hispanic community
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • A copy of his or her most recent transcript
  • A self-address stamped envelope
  • An agreement to provide twenty five hours of community service under the auspices of IMAGE de Seattle within one year of selection

Recipients must agree to report progress and activities to the scholarship committee during the year the scholarship is awarded. Application materials must be received at the Image de Seattle no later than the deadline
