Description

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund, formerly the National Hispanic Scholarship Fund, is an organization that provides scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students of Hispanic American background. Applicants must be of Mexican-American, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Caribbean, Central or South American parentage.

Eligibility

  • Be a graduating high school senior
  • Be of Hispanic heritage (one parent fully Hispanic or each parent half Hispanic)
  • Have a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.0 on a 5.0 scale)
  • Plan to enroll in a degree-seeking program at an accredited U.S. college or university FULL-TIME

Procedure

Applicants must complete:
  • A HSF application form
  • Transcript(s) with cumulative GPA
  • Letter of Recommendation
  • Personal Statement
  • Copy of PR card or passport stamped I-551 (if applicable)
  • Student Aid Report (SAR) and financial aid award letter OR most current federal tax return(s)
