Eligibility

  • GIG policyholder
  • Fraternal Grange Member
  • Grange Insurance Group Employee
  • Most candidates have been active in civic or campus activities.
  • A resident within our states of operation (California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming) OR a child or a grandchild of one of the above
Previous recipients are also eligible to apply. Please note that children or legal wards of officers or directors of GIG are ineligible.

The committee will base its awards on scholastic ability, participation in activities, character references, aptitude and attitudes reflected in materaials submitted and applicant's financial need

Applications are available for download on the website. The following are some of the requirements along with the application:
  • Transcripts
  • Letter of recommendation
  • Cover letter - future plans, purpose of education, purpose of having a scholarship
