Emma L. Bowen Scholarship for Minority Interests in Media

Description

The Emma L. Bowen Foundation awards minority students interested in careers in the media industry.  The five-year program offers students the opportunity to learn many aspects of coporate operations and develop company-specific skills.  Students earn an hourly salary and matching funds for college expenses.  Scholars will participate in an annual conference, community service program and mentoring program. 

Eligibility

Students must meet the following requirements:

  1. A minority student (African-American, Hispanic, Asian, or Native American).
  2. A rising high school senior or graduating high school senior or college freshmen.
  3. Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  4.  Interested in pursuing careers in the media industry.
  5. Plans to atend or is attending an accredited four-year college or university.
  6. Must be a U.S. Citizen or legal resident.
