The Office of Merit Scholarships, Fellowships & Awards works with current University of Washington students.
If you are not currently enrolled at the University, the links on this page offer some sources of scholarship information for incoming students.
Also note that some colleges and departments offer departmental scholarships to freshmen. If you know what your major will be, contact the department and inquire about scholarships available for incoming freshmen.

To be considered for merit-based scholarship for admissions in Autumn 2009, your admission application must be completed by December 1, 2008. This includes National Merit awards, UW President’s Scholars, UW Undergraduate Scholars, and UW Achievement Awards. In addition, the UW Diversity Scholar Awards are awarded to high achieving under-represented students entering as freshman.

This is a scholarship program specifically targeted to high school seniors who wish to transfer to UW – Seattle Campus. Each year some of Washington State's best high school seniors, Running Start students, and Early Entrance students vie for a chance to study science, engineering, or math at the University of Washington on a Space Grant Scholarship. These competitive scholarships are based on high school academic achievement, standardized test scores, personal essays, letters of recommendations, and future academic promise.
