Specifically designed for freshmen or first-quarter sophomores, this introductory workshop helps students to begin the scholarship search and to develop a competitive edge for merit-based scholarships. We include information on campus and national funding opportunities, scholarship search sites, and tips to develop competitive applications.

Indian Health Service Scholarship Program

The purpose of the Indian Health Service Scholarship is to provide the quantity and quality of health services, which will permit the health status of Indians to be raised to the highest possible level. Eligible students are U.S. citizens, enrolled American Indian or Alaska Native (federally or state recognized), OR natural children or grand children of an enrolled tribal member, and high school graduates or equivalent.

The Carnegie Endowment Junior Fellowship offers 8-10 one-year fellowships each year to uniquely qualified graduating seniors and individuals who have graduated during the past academic year. They are selected from a pool of nominees from close to 300 colleges. Carnegie Junior Fellows work as research assistants to the Endowment's senior associates.

By providing rigorous training and ongoing guidance and support, the Pearson Teacher Fellowship ensures that talented individuals are poised for success in the preschool teaching profession. Pearson Teacher Fellows commit to teach preschoolers for two years in Head Start and other early learning centers serving low income communities throughout the country. The Road to Graduate Study in the UK and Ireland

Learn about five opportunities for post-baccalaureate study in the UK or Ireland: The Winston Churchill Scholarship provides full support for one year of graduate study in engineering, mathematics, or the natural sciences at Churchill College, Cambridge University in England. The Gates Cambridge Scholarship provides two years of study in any discipline at Cambridge University in England. The Marshall Scholarship provides full support for two years of study in any discipline at any university in the UK. The George Mitchell Scholarship provides full support for one year of graduate study in any discipline in Ireland or Northern Ireland. The Rhodes Scholarship provides two years of study in any discpline at Oxford University in England.
