The Adviser Information File is a series of detailed memos on academic policies affecting UW undergraduate students. It is not meant to be a complete collection of these policies; instead, it covers a number of topics that are potentially confusing. It is also somewhat archival, including a number of policies that are no longer in effect but which come up from time to time with students returning after an absence. The AIF is maintained, and frequently updated, by the Undergraduate Advising Office of the Office of Undergraduate Education.
