This is an open, unmoderated list that includes most UW academic advisers on all three campuses, as well as many UW employees in the broad area of "student services"--the Office of the Registrar, Admissions, Financial Aid, the Center for Career Services, etc. A number of faculty members also subscribe. Note that "adviser" is spelled with an "e." The list is managed by David Sayrs (Undergraduate Gateway Center). To send an email message to the list, address the message to advisers@u.washington.edu.

This is a closed, unmoderated list, which includes many of the UW employees who subscribe to advisers@, and many academic advisers at Washington community colleges. It is intended to be an open forum in which advisers can ask policy and procedure questions of general interest, and engage in discussions of topics of interest. The list is managed by staff from the Undergraduate Gateway Center and the Office of Admissions. ("Closed" means your subscription will be held for approval, and you will be notified of the list moderator's decision by email.)

Creating your own list
There is no easy way to generate an email list of some segment of the population of UW advisers. However, the Undergraduate Gateway Center maintains an Access database of UW academic advisers that includes their names and email addresses. We can send the current database as an email attachment to any UW department that wants to build a list. Send an email to dsayrs@u.washington.edu with your request.

Mailing labels
The Undergraduate Gateway Center maintains an Access database of UW academic advisers that includes their names, departments, and mailstops. We can send a master for mailing labels as an email attachment to any UW department that wants to mail out information to advisers. Since we frequently update the database, you should send your request immediately before you need the mailing labels. Send your request to dsayrs@u.washington.edu
